A manufacturer, wholesaler, retailer, and master craftsman — Shri Prabhas Bhawmik ji was truly a man of many talents. He single-handedly built his empire brick by brick, and to this day, he remains the foundation of the legacy he created. His versatility, dedication, and relentless drive for innovation propelled him toward remarkable success. With a unique ability to blend tradition with modernity, he continuously reinvented his designs, bringing vintage charm to contemporary jewellery.
His humble nature, simplicity, and inspiring presence continue to motivate those around him. His journey in the jewellery trade began at the young age of 12, when he left his family in Kolkata. Initially, he cooked food for workers, and within a year, he began learning the craft of gold jewellery making. Over time, he mastered the art, and in 1986, he opened his own manufacturing unit — PJ Chain Manufacturing — in the quaint Dariba Colony of Chandni Chowk, Old Delhi.
Starting from the heart of Delhi’s jewellery market, his work quickly caught the attention of local retailers. With consistent quality and trust, he expanded his clientele beyond Delhi, gaining recognition among retailers and wholesalers across regions. In 2017, his vision took another leap forward with the launch of a retail jewellery showroom under the name Parivar Jewellers. Since then, the brand has continued to grow, opening multiple branches across Delhi.
Mr. Sudip Bhawmik completed his schooling at David Model Senior Secondary School in 2017. He went on to graduate with a Hindi Honours degree from Sri Aurobindo College, Delhi University, in 2020. In 2021, driven by a passion for jewellery, he pursued a course in Gemology from GIA (Gemological Institute of America). To deepen his understanding of society and connect better with people, he completed his Master’s in Sociology from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) in 2024.
Having grown up watching the craftsmanship in his family’s factory, Sudip developed a deep-rooted interest in the jewellery business from an early age. Recognizing his son’s dedication and entrepreneurial spirit, Shri Prabhas Bhawmik opened a retail jewellery showroom — Parivar Jewellers — for him in 2017. Balancing academics and business was no easy feat, but Sudip remained committed to his goals. He nurtured strong, family-like relationships with his customers and focused on offering both pure gold and modern, trendsetting jewellery designs.
With time, he brought innovation and transformation to the jewellery line, constantly adapting to customer preferences and changing styles.
In 2024, Sudip took a bold digital leap by launching an online platform for 925 silver articles and jewellery under the brand name Silveria Glory (www.silveriaglory.in). Within six months, the brand gained strong momentum and became a successful online venture.
Now, in 2025, Sudip Bhawmik is proud to launch his third retail showroom in Delhi, located in Dayalpur — further expanding the legacy of Parivar Jewellers and redefining jewellery retail for the modern generation.
